The ideal candidate will have a strong Java background and experience working with legacy technologies such as ColdFusion and PowerBuilder to support system enhancements, troubleshoot production issues, and assist with modernization efforts while ensuring system stability and operational continuity. Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications in a legacy Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment using Java/J2EE technologies. Support and enhance existing applications built on legacy platforms including ColdFusion and PowerBuilder. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain system stability and performance. Develop and maintain Java web services and system integrations using SOAP and REST APIs. Write efficient, maintainable, and reliable code while supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives where applicable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment with a focus on code quality, testing, and operational support. Maintain security configurations, ensuring all code complies with security standards. Participate in release management, deployments, system maintenance activities, and documentation updates. Qualifications Minimum of four years of experience with Java/J2EE application development and support in an enterprise environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience supporting and maintaining legacy applications in cloud-hosted environments, preferably involving ColdFusion and/or PowerBuilder. Experience developing and supporting Java web services, including SOAP and RESTful APIs. Working knowledge of frameworks and technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, or JPA. Experience with relational databases and SQL development; PostgreSQL or Sybase experience is preferred. Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML, and AJAX. Experience using version control systems and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Bamboo. Ability to troubleshoot application, integration, and production support issues in a fast-paced O&M environment. Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
