OFF-ROAD TRAILER ASSEMBLY LEAD

SasquatchXC, or SXC for short, designs, manufactures, and sells expedition campers capable of accessing remote, rugged terrain. Our headquarters is in Silverton, CO, meaning our products are hand-crafted in the mountains theyre meant to be used in. The Handcrafted Assembly Lead will oversee a fast-growing group of builders that take pride in their work.

Summary:

As the Handcrafted Assembly Lead III, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the assembly processes of our expedition campers and associated products at SXC. Beyond technical expertise, this position demands exceptional leadership and organizational skills. You will be responsible for leading the assembly team, managing workflow, and ensuring seamless coordination between departments. Upholding our commitment to superior craftsmanship and customer service, you will set the standard for excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the assembly team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Manage daily workflow and prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Collaborate closely with management to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance assembly processes.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and conduct regular inspections to maintain product excellence.

Oversee inventory management and procurement processes to ensure timely availability of components.

Act as a liaison between departments, facilitating communication and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency within the assembly team.

Execute advanced assembly tasks such as precision gluing and fastening of interior and exterior panels, intricate assembly of frame, body, and kitchen components, meticulous 12v wiring, and integration of sophisticated lighting and electronics systems.

Extend exemplary hospitality to visitors, delivering exceptional facility tours, promptly addressing phone inquiries, and assisting customers with product-related queries.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and camaraderie among team members.

Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience in assembly operations, or similar work experience with a proven leadership track record.

Ability to read and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience adhering to quality assurance processes and experience conducting inspections and audits.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement processes.

High level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.

Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their full potential.

2-3 years of leadership experience and 3+ years experience in a skilled trade position.

The most important skills you can bring to the job are a positive attitude, passion for Customer Service, ability to embrace and drive change, joy, fun and humor. If you possess these qualities, we are committed to providing comprehensive training.

Pay starts at $28/hr, depending on experience, with 4x10 work schedule (M-Th).
