Note - Travel Experience Required Job Summary The Registered Nurse – Operating Room provides specialized perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in surgical protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards. The nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure efficient and safe operations while delivering compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including assessments and pre‑operative education Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations Maintain sterile field and enforce infection control protocols Administer medications and monitor patient responses during surgery Document patient care accurately in EMR systems Provide post‑operative care including monitoring recovery and educating patients/families Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative or operating room nursing Strong knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in specialty surgical units (orthopedic, cardiac, neurosurgery, etc.) Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) credential is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
