Responsibilities:

The Primary Therapist conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, facilitates individual, family, and group therapies, and provides clinical support to the program as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Communicate, proactively, as the clinical point of contact with families.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies within the framework of Newport Healthcares clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups.
  • Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements.
  • Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
  • Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress, group notes, contact notes and discharge summaries) timely and according to established standards.
  • Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provides intervention/management as needed.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Enter and save data accurately within Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required.
  • Experience with individual, group, or family therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
  • Willingness to be trained to provide family therapy within the framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.

Free training/certification offered in EMDR, ABFT, CBT & DBT!

Schedule:
Monday- Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (we can also accomodate 9:30am-6:00pm)

The salary range for this position is $80,325/yr to $101,588/yr based on education and experience.
