Job Overview
Coordinates day‑to‑day functions of the Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) program, serving as the primary point of contact. Coordinates FNE schedule, reviews patient charts, contacts patients for follow‑up services, and completes forensic medical exams in the emergency department and clinic under the supervision of the clinic ARNP or ED physicians. Supports ongoing development of FNEs by presenting new nurses and completing chart reviews. Performs all functions of an FNE, including responding to subpoenas and providing courtroom testimony. Evening shift coordinators primarily respond to the ED, while day‑shift coordinators focus on program coordination from the clinic.
Responsibilities
Coordinate day‑to‑day functions of the Forensic Nurse Examiner program.
Serve as primary point of contact and coordinate FNE schedule.
Review patient charts, contact patients for follow‑up services, and complete forensic medical exams in the emergency department and clinic under supervision of the clinic ARNP or ED physicians.

Perform all functions of an FNE, including responding to subpoenas and providing courtroom testimony.
Evening shift coordinator’s primary responsibility is responding to the ED.
Day‑shift coordinator’s primary responsibility is program coordination from the clinic.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire
Minimum of 1 year direct patient care as a nurse
Preferred: 1 year direct patient care as a SANE or Forensic Nurse Examiner
Shift & Schedule
Part‑time, Night shift (evening). Evening shift coordinators primarily respond to the ED; day‑shift coordinators focus on program coordination from the clinic.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary range: $52.26 – $81.13 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
