We’re a long-established, reputable South Jersey construction company looking for a skilled Construction Accountant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be a key partner to our project management team, helping maintain accurate financial records across multiple projects and ensuring smooth financial operations from start to finish. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with two days in the office each week, giving you flexibility while staying connected to a team that depends on your financial insights. Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Responsibilities Prepare and submit AIA documentation for owner billings, including all required support Review and process subcontractor payment applications Review and enter owner billings, job budget modifications, subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and related items Maintain all accounting records in an accurate and timely manner Monitor and assemble subcontractor and vendor invoices, insurance certificates, releases, and compliance materials Ensure all contract compliance requirements are met Audit and reconcile job cost details and update job budgets Assist with project close‑out Prepare sales tax returns Manage month‑end close, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Maintain the general ledger Requirements Minimum 2-year degree in Accounting or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred At least 2 years of proven construction accounting experience, including AIA documentation Experience with Procore, Spectrum, and Excel preferred Ability to work on‑site as required for the hybrid schedule Salary commensurate with experience; full benefits package offered Qualified candidates will be contacted within two business days.
