Job Description Design, document, and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures on AWS. Work hands-on with engineering teams to develop and optimize data pipelines for batch and real-time processing using PySpark and Flink. Architect and oversee Python-based API development to expose data and application capabilities to internal and external consumers. Build and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow (MWAA) to schedule, monitor, and maintain complex pipelines and services. Design and optimize data storage solutions, leveraging DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and other AWS-native databases to meet performance and scalability needs. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, ensuring repeatable and automated deployments. Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, promoting DevOps best practices across teams. Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction. Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical architecture and execution plans. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers. Experience with real-time streaming architectures and event-driven systems.
