Python Developer

Position Details:

Title: Python Developer

Duration: 1 year contract plus extensions

Location: Pennington, NJ- Hybrid 4 day's in office

Interview Times: 2 rounds (One Video and One In-person)

Compensation: $70-75/hour

Day to day responsibilities:

• Hands on programming
• Improving code
• Enhancements
• Daily Stand ups
• Testing code
• Code review is possible
• Individual contributor
• Working on assigned tasks
• Working with front office users/ traders
• Creating/ consuming APIs

Must-haves/key skills needed:

• OOP Concepts
• Webservices
• 5+ years Python in Application Development solving problems (open to 7-10 years)
• Creating APIs and consuming APIs (hands on with Python)
• Multithreading
• Microservices
• Design and development (backend)
• Expected to build applications, must have analytical skills
• System design concepts, designing solutions
• Soft skills - Proactive, self-starter (not someone doing maintenance or support)
• Collaborating with the team/ Proactive.
• Communication skills

Pluses:

• Mongo DB
• Investment Banking - with front office, middle office or surveillance-based applications)
• Capital Markets, Fixed income trading/risk management
• Quantitative research/ Quantitative background with min 2 years of Python
