Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to provide skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning within an acute care setting. The role demands strong collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and effective communication with patients and providers. Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience and hold an active California RN license or pending license acceptance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled nursing care in the Operating Room environment.
  • Perform patient assessments and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Assist in patient preparation and post-operative care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with hospital policies.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse license in California or pending license accepted.
  • Minimum of one year experience in nursing, preferably in acute care or Operating Room settings.
  • Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience working in Operating Room or surgical nursing.
  • Familiarity with acute care facility protocols and procedures.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
Special Considerations:
  • Work primarily scheduled around 8:30 AM shifts with some variable shift work.
  • First-time traveler candidates are accepted.
  • Return to office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 7 days.
  • Scrub or business casual attire as per hospital policy.
Scheduling:
  • Primarily day shifts starting at 8:30 AM.
  • Weekend work may be required as per hospital needs.
  • Shift assignments may vary based on operational requirements.
