Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a shelter location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help deterr unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access to the location and assist with visitor, resident, and delivery interactions in accordance with site expectations and posted rules. Support a respectful environment by observing resident activity, reporting policy concerns, and communicating with compassion during routine interactions and/or escalated situations. Minimum Requirements Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
