We have an entrepreneurial culture, a “can‑do” and collaborative attitude, and we own and control our infrastructure. Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This individual‑contributor role will support the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced, scaling environment. You will take ownership of core close processes, gain exposure to industry‑specific accounting areas unique to Bitcoin mining and HPC infrastructure, collaborate cross‑functionally, and help drive process improvements as the organization scales. Responsibilities Own month‑end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations over accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounting activities. Analyze financial results and investigate variances and trends. Support SOX controls testing and documentation, and maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors and manage supporting audit documentation. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules. Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, and operational teams to improve reporting accuracy. Support accounting for power/energy‑related contracts, fixed asset and infrastructure‑related transactions, and restricted cash/escrow arrangements. Support systems optimization, automation initiatives, and ERP enhancement projects. Foster open, respectful, and professional communication within the team and across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public company and/or multi‑entity environments. Big4 public accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Blackline, Workiva, NetSuite). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Excellent attention to detail, time‑management, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. CPA certification or progress toward CPA. Experience in audit or financial analysis. Knowledge of tax regulations and corporate compliance. Experience with ERP system implementations or upgrades. Reports To: Director, Accounting Location: Miami, FL Travel: Occasional travel may be required as needed. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including laptop computers and smartphones. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 25 pounds. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.
