Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension
- Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to support the discovery, analysis, documentation, and implementation of business and technology solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience eliciting and translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions while serving as a liaison between business stakeholders, Information Technology teams, and external vendors.
- The Senior Business Analyst will lead requirements gathering efforts, facilitate process improvement initiatives, support project delivery activities, and drive successful implementation of business and technology solutions. This role will be responsible for managing small- to medium-sized projects independently and collaborating closely with Project Managers on larger enterprise-wide initiatives.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead the requirements gathering process by engaging stakeholders to define business needs, objectives, success metrics, and solution requirements.
- Analyze business operations, processes, workflows, and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and collaborate with vendors and IT teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Facilitate business requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
- User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Use Cases
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Business Process Maps
- System and Data Flow Diagrams
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead business process mapping and process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and application performance.
- Bridge communication gaps between business users, vendors, and technical teams to facilitate successful project delivery.
- Evaluate proposed solutions and provide recommendations that align with business goals and organizational priorities.
- Monitor and measure solution effectiveness through post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Support organizational change management initiatives related to system implementations and process improvements.
- Lead and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate solutions against documented business requirements.
- Coordinate testing, implementation, training, deployment, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Support transition planning and handoff to operational and support teams following implementation.
- Ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes, and enhancements.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of professional Business Analysis experience supporting business and technology initiatives.
- Proven experience leading requirements gathering, business process analysis, and solution design activities.
- Strong experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements sessions.
- Demonstrated expertise in business process mapping, workflow analysis, and process improvement.
- Experience coordinating project activities and supporting project delivery across multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- Experience developing process flows, use cases, user stories, business requirements, and system documentation.
- Experience facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), implementation, training, and deployment activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Experience working within government agencies, public sector organizations, or highly regulated environments.
- Experience working with enterprise applications, business process automation, and system integration initiatives.
- Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, , or similar platforms.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile Business Analyst, or related certifications are preferred.
