Job Title: Senior Developer

Location: Allen, TX


Purpose and Objective:

Concur Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer at our Allen, TX location to build the next-generation microservices using cloud-first concepts and technologies including containerization, serverless architecture and increased use of NoSQL data stores.


Expectations and Tasks:

Design, development and delivery of new features as part of Agile team. Design and write services in one or more of Go lang, Kotlin, Java, and deploy using Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and AMI-based pipelines. Mentor junior developers and lead scrum teams by setting positive examples. Own cloud services end to end, implementing distributed systems using AWS services and best practices such as zero-downtime production deployments, canaries, frequent deployments, and feature-flag-driven development. Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The Company will also accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field of study and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.


Work Experience:

Position requires at least two years of experience in each of the following:


  • AWS Cloud Native Technologies Applications; and

  • Microservice Architecture and Development.

Experience to include each of the following:

  • Dev Ops (CI & CD), Agile Practices, and Java, Kotlin or Go programming languages;

  • Communicate with business leaders and technical architects and manage customer escalations;

  • Automation and Performance testing applications and services;

  • Production support of mission critical applications; and

  • Incident Solving Process, Travel Industry, SQL and NoSQL Databases, Architecture Modeling and Documentation, Architecture Best Practices and Architecture Pattern, and OLTP Applications.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $139,464 to $188,672. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a signicant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $139,464 to $214,400. The actual amount to be oered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
