I mprov eit Home Remodeling is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team. This is a career-track position designed for a driven professional who wants to build toward a future Controller role within our organization.
In this position, you'll analyze financial and operational data, support strategic decision-making across the business, and provide insights that drive profitable growth through pricing, margin optimization, forecasting, and operational efficiency initiatives. You'll partner directly with leaders across Sales, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance — gaining the kind of cross-functional exposure that builds a strong foundation for financial leadership. As Improveit continues to expand into new markets, this role offers the opportunity to grow your scope of responsibility alongside the company.
What You'll Do
Financial Planning & Analysis Assist with the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting
Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances to budget and prior periods
Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions
Prepare profitability analyses by product, location, sales channel, and department
Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning initiatives
Reporting & Analytics Create and maintain dashboards and KPI reports for leadership
Analyze sales performance, conversion rates, pricing trends, and margin performance
Monitor labor costs, installation costs, and operational efficiency metrics
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through financial and operational data analysis
Prepare executive-level reports and presentations
Business Partnership Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate business performance and identify improvement opportunities
Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis
Provide recommendations to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency
Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested
Systems & Process Improvement Improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data analytics
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data
Support implementation and optimization of reporting tools and business systems
Document and maintain reporting procedures and analytical methodologies
Compliance & Internal Controls Support compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Assist in maintaining and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial information
Perform periodic audits and reviews of financial and operational data to identify discrepancies, risks, or control weaknesses
Collaborate with Accounting, HR, Sales, and Operations to ensure adherence to established procedures and controls
Assist with external audits, tax reporting support, and requests from regulatory agencies as needed
Monitor key compliance metrics and report findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership
Document financial processes and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and reduce risk
Support compliance initiatives related to data integrity, reporting accuracy, payroll, commissions, vendor payments, and customer transactions
Stay current on relevant accounting, tax, and business regulations that may impact company operations
Assist in investigating and resolving compliance-related issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary
Your Path to Controller
This role is built as a launching point, not a ceiling. As you demonstrate mastery of financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-departmental partnership, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility in areas such as: Full-cycle accounting oversight and close processes
Leading internal control design and audit readiness
Managing and mentoring accounting team members
Owning financial reporting and compliance strategy company-wide
We're looking for someone who sees this position as the first step toward a Controller-level career with Improveit.
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related area
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and financial modeling
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
Experience analyzing large data sets and developing meaningful business insights
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems, and business intelligence tools preferred
Experience with Sage 50 Accounting Software a plus
