Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an Application Programmer III to join their team. As an Application Programmer III, you will be part of the Technology Department supporting the Data Migration and Application Development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title Application Programmer III Location Jersey City, NJ Pay Range $65‑68 on W2 What's the Job? Convert mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ensuring seamless migration of legacy workflows. Design and develop Java-based user interfaces to support process maintenance and operational efficiency. Create support utilities using Python to automate tasks, enhance data processing, and facilitate migration efforts. Collaborate with the technology manager for project planning, reporting, and delivery oversight. Analyze existing workflows, optimize logic for Oracle-based execution, and ensure high performance and reliability of solutions. What's Needed? Proven expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development with a strong understanding of database optimization. Experience supporting or migrating Mainframe SAS processes, with knowledge of COBOL or similar legacy systems. Working proficiency with Python for automation, data handling, or migration tasks.
