Insight Global is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a quality engineering team focused on enhancing and scaling automation across a suite of learning‑based applications, preferably hybrid in Richmond, VA, but open to strong remote candidates in other states. This role will play a key part in advancing automated testing practices using Playwright, with a focus on increasing coverage, improving reliability, and supporting overall product quality. This position is best suited for someone with a strong SDET background who is comfortable writing automation code, contributing to framework improvements, and helping guide team‑wide adoption of best practices. The ideal candidate brings a balance of hands‑on development experience and the ability to influence standards, mentor peers, and continuously improve automation processes. The pay for this role ranges from $53–$55 per hour, based on experience.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years of experience working in a QA Automation or SDET role with strong hands‑on involvement
Build and maintain automated testing solutions (end‑to‑end, regression, and smoke coverage) using Playwright
Write and support automation code in C# or TypeScript as an active contributor
Evaluate testing needs and expand automation coverage across applications
Perform and support API testing to validate system integrations
Work with automation pipelines and support execution within CI/CD environments
Review automation code, provide feedback, and help maintain development standards
Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and improve overall stability of automated suites
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to align on testing approach and priorities
Provide guidance to other QA engineers and support adoption of automation tools and practices
Contribute to enhancements that improve performance, scalability, and efficiency of automation frameworks
Familiarity with tools like Postman for API validation
Experience with performance testing tools, particularly JMeter
Background supporting or contributing to automation transformation efforts
Experience mentoring or coaching QA team members
Exposure to AI‑driven tools or techniques within testing workflows
