Senior Server Administrator Network Infrastructure/Security Our client in Providence, RI is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to support their modern enterprise data center environment. The role involves maintaining critical server infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with senior systems and infrastructure teams to optimize operations. Key Responsibilities Support enterprise server and data center operations to ensure optimal performance and availability. Perform routine maintenance, including installing updates, security patches, firmware upgrades, and hardware updates. Monitor server and infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve hardware and system-related problems. Assist with incident response, system monitoring, and operational support activities. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and follow established operational procedures. Participate in scheduled maintenance and support activities outside normal business hours as needed. Required Qualifications Proven experience supporting enterprise server environments within modern data centers. Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure technologies. Experience with patch management, system maintenance, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team. Availability to support after-hours maintenance and operational needs. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field. Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a higher education environment. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V. Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux administration. Experience with enterprise monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
