Directorate: Social Care Health Integration and Wellbeing

Section: Mental Health

Grade: Level 13

Salary: 39,908.94 - 42,586.50

Hours: 32.5

This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

This is a temporary post for 3 months.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Mental Health Team as a Senior Social Worker on a temporary basis.

The post requires an individual who has a sound knowledge of Social Work practice, legislation and its related statutory responsibilities along with an understanding of the available local resources and systems.

An awareness and understanding of the Mental Health Act would be beneficial. Working with colleagues in the local authority, health economy and voluntary sector we aim to maximise the independence of individuals using a strength-based approach.

The post has responsibility for the line management of staff and therefore supervisory experience is valuable and a focus on outcomes, performance, staff wellbeing, recruitment and retention and strengths-based approach to intervention.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
