Server Administrator Network Infrastructure/Security Providence, Rhode Island Contract Jul 17, 2026 Server Administrator | Location: Providence, RI | Contract | Hourly Pay Range: $45-$60 Support the maintenance and operation of server infrastructure within a modern enterprise data center environment. Collaborate with senior systems administrators to ensure optimal server performance, security, and availability. Perform routine server updates, patches, and security fixes, and troubleshoot server-related issues to maintain system health and reliability. Document operational procedures and participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including after-hours support as needed. Key Responsibilities Support senior systems administrators with daily server operations and maintenance. Install server patches, updates, and security fixes to ensure system integrity. Monitor server performance, availability, and overall health to identify and resolve issues proactively. Troubleshoot and resolve server-related problems to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate system documentation and follow established operational procedures. Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including work outside normal business hours. Required Qualifications Proven experience supporting servers in modern data center environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with server maintenance, patch management, and monitoring tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team. Willingness to support after-hours maintenance and operational requirements. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field. Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments. Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
