Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative AI solutions, is seeking a Mid-Level AI Engineer to join their dynamic team. Job Title Mid-Level AI Engineer / AI Developer Location Ann Arbor, MI Pay Range $47/hr What's the Job? Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and services that meet business needs. Build and integrate Generative AI solutions utilizing large language models (LLMs) and related frameworks. Develop AI agents, workflows, prompts, tools, and orchestration frameworks to enhance automation and intelligence. Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and knowledge retrieval solutions to improve data accessibility. Evaluate, benchmark, and optimize AI model performance, quality, cost, and latency to ensure efficiency and reliability. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. 3–6 years of software development experience with a focus on AI/ML or Generative AI applications. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript/JavaScript. Experience developing REST APIs and distributed services, with familiarity in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, testing, CI/CD, security, and observability. What's in it for me?
