Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager, AWS Original Design and Manufacturing (ODM) Partnerships AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Support all AWS data centers and equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovations they rely on. Work with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. Responsibilities Serve as the single-threaded relationship manager for a strategic supply partner providing design, development, manufacturing, and integration services for AWS servers and server rack integration. Matrix‑manage all aspects of supplier performance, including cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability, and overall supply strategy. Negotiate and execute complex supplier agreements, statements of work, and other contracts in collaboration with cross‑functional leads. Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver RFPs, evaluate vendor responses, and align on business awards. Deliver AWS’s cost objectives through detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews. Develop and negotiate sourcing strategies that align with business objectives while maintaining sustainable supplier relationships. Inform and influence senior leadership about business status, risk, and opportunities via written narratives. Manage vendor escalations and provide executive‑level updates as required. Prepare and present detailed data‑driven business reviews with senior management focused on procurement/sourcing execution and continuity of supply. Identify key technology trends and drive supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS’s technical development and manufacturing initiatives. Qualifications 2+ years of program, project, or product management; or leading product implementation. 6+ years of related industry experience. 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, or Tableau. 8+ years of high‑volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product organization. Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction. Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and Tier 1 OEM partners. Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting). Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred). Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies (preferred).
