Qualified applicants will be selected for interview by hiring administrators as needed throughout the school year.Job SummaryFood Service personnel are responsible to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Food Field Supervisor and the Kitchen Manager. Assists the cook manager in kitchen operation; makes a "School Meal Pattern" lunch available to every school child; assists in preparing and serving of nutritious food as required by participation in the federal program; provides sanitary working conditions.Salary$18.25 per hour. Salary is based on 2024-25 Non-Represented Salary Schedule.Work YearHours and days vary (Generally, 2-3 hours per day, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.)BenefitsSubstitutes become benefit eligible after subbing for 630 hours during the school year. Your coverage would go from the first of the month after reaching 630 hours through 8/31. After reaching 630 hours for two school years in a row, your coverage would be continuous for the following school year. Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package, for eligible positions. Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).The School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) benefits include:Medical plans with prescription benefitsDental plansVision plansLife and AD&D insuranceLong-term disability insuranceMedical Flexible Spending ArrangementDependent Care Assistance ProgramApplication ProcedureComplete an online application.Attach a cover letter and resume.Enter 3 references, including their name, professional relationship to you, phone, and email.
