Position Overview
Transform technology into opportunity as a Systems Administrator with GDIT. The role supports a cohesive service desk team that performs all aspects of customer service and maintenance of existing systems to ensure the command is always mission capable.
Core Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain enterprise computers, mobile devices, and related IT equipment.
Utilize Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Active Directory to deploy images, perform configuration baselines, and troubleshoot systems.
Deploy and manage mobile device management software to monitor, secure, and support user mobile devices.
Perform Level 1 and Level 2 support for POTS phones and Cisco Call Manager devices.
Resolve incidents using a ticketing system, track changes for classified, unclassified, and special communications networks.
Collaborate with IT professionals, CRM and SharePoint developers to resolve hardware, peripheral, and content management issues.
Secure group membership and user profiles, modify Active Directory configurations, and maintain mobile and desktop baselines for patches, operating systems, and applications.
Professional Experience & Education
1 + years of related experience in enterprise IT support.
DoD 8570 compliant for IAT Level II.
Technical Requirements
MS Windows 7/10 operating system.
Microsoft Office 2010 or later.
Experience with personal computer, terminal, peripheral equipment and associated software repair, installation, configuration and system operation.
Experience with VPN technologies.
Experience with virtualization technology (VMware) desired.
Experience configuring Android and iPhone devices.
Experience with Cisco Call Manager.
Self‑motivated, independent, and proactive in addressing challenges.
Effective communications and listening skills.
Security & Citizenship
Current Secret clearance required and must be able to obtain TS/SCI. US citizenship required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $59,500 – $80,500 (subject to experience, location, and contractual factors).
Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and flexible work weeks.
Working Conditions
Location: Ft. Liberty, NC (customer site).
Travel: 10‑25%.
Telecommuting: Onsite only.
Work hours: 40 per week.
Work on classified and unclassified networks as required.
