Tax Manager (Public Accounting) Company: GlobalCFO, LLC Location: Fremont, CA Reporting To: VP - Tax Experience: 6+ years Qualification: Bachelor's Degree; EA or CPA preferred Responsibilities: Preparation and review of Federal and State income tax returns (1120, 1120C, 1065, 1120-F, 1120S) Preparation and review of various schedules such as Schedule M1, M3, C, J, K, L, H, I, N, UTP Preparation and review of various forms including 851, 5472, 5471, 1118, 8621, 1128, 3115, 8833, 8886, 8918, 8993, 8834, 3800, 8824, 8697, 2439, 4136, FBAR FinCEN Report 114, 1042, and 1042S Review Gift and estate tax return (1041) Review of multi‑state taxation International taxation, tax research, transfer pricing and various tax treaties Good understanding of consolidated tax return and inter‑company transactions Prepare and review workpaper and returns for domestic, international & state tax returns including E&P, M adjustments, fixed‑asset roll forward, state modification, state apportionment Assist in calculation and maintenance of deferred tax schedules, FIN 48 analysis and return‑to‑provision reconciliations for a worldwide group Support coordination with the tax accounting team to ensure integration of tax accounting and international compliance processes Self‑initiate research and resolve issues irrespective of subject‑matter knowledge Identify and address client needs, build and maintain client relationships, communicate value propositions, manage resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections, and prepare complex written and verbal materials Lead teams, supervise, foster trust, encourage diverse views, and coach staff through timely feedback Manage end‑to‑end client leads: data gathering, validation, clarification, review, delivery of returns and billing Manage client compliance, set expectations for scope and timelines Recognize complex client issues and communicate them to managers and clients appropriately Take responsibility for all compliance processes and monitor filing requirements Improve processes by developing and implementing best practices Ensure quality checks on all deliverables, identify, anticipate, and address important tax issues Execute assignments effectively, delegate and monitor work Utilize available technical resources to enhance US tax knowledge Provide training on pass‑through entities to new hires and coach tax professionals Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge for group benefit Understand assignment instructions and apply them, seeking guidance when needed Delegate tasks on time, deliver results based on performance Maintain confidentiality of client, staff, and firm information Specific Skill Set: 6+ years of post‑qualification experience in taxation, with extensive hands‑on US corporate tax compliance experience US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent qualification, or CA or MBA from a premier institute Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels; includes visualizations Proven ability to lead and collaborate with senior teams, influence consensus Thorough analytical abilities for problem‑solving tax processes and systems Understanding of the business and peak periods Knowledge of data analysis and reporting Experience coaching, training, and mentoring staff Experience managing team workload with leadership Additional Information: Committed, ability to work long hours during busy seasons #J-18808-Ljbffr
