Summary The Training Manager leads the DOE/NNSA Protective Force training program at Kirtland AFB, ensuring personnel maintain required qualifications, certifications, and operational readiness. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and works closely with site management and government representatives to support a critical national security mission. The position is contingent upon contract award and is based in Albuquerque, NM at Kirtland AFB. Candidates from other DOE, NNSA, national laboratory, and nuclear security locations are encouraged to apply. Relocation support may be available for qualified individuals. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Protective Force training program. Develop and deliver initial, annual, refresher, and remedial training. Ensure compliance with DOE, NNSA, NTC, and contract requirements. Maintain training records, certifications, and qualification programs. Conduct evaluations, drills, and performance assessments. Identify training gaps and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with site leadership and government stakeholders. Support inspections, audits, and operational readiness activities. Serve as the Project Manager's representative when required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience managing or administering training programs within a DOE, NNSA, Protective Force, military, law enforcement, or high‑security environment. Experience developing and delivering security‑related training. Knowledge of qualification, certification, and compliance requirements. DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one. Current NTC Protective Force Basic Security Officer Trainer certification or ability to obtain. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications NTC Instructor, Curriculum Development, or related DOE training certifications. Experience supporting armed security personnel and qualification programs. Experience working directly with government customers and stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
