We are looking for an energetic individual with a passion for users and a desire to contribute to impactful user experiences to join as a full time intern for the summer (May-August).
Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team, our actionable insights and artifacts guide, and provide direction and confidence in product decisions.
As advocates for customer needs, we cultivate a culture of research and continuous learning throughout the company.
The User Experience Research Intern will benefit from the valuable mentorship our experienced team members can provide.
This will preferably be a hybrid role out of our Waltham, MA office.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Usability, Information Design, Psychology, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Usability, Information Design, Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of exploratory research activities such as discovery, contextual inquiry, ethnography, and diary studies
  • Knowledge of evaluative qualitative and quantitative research methods such as usability testing, heuristics evaluations, surveys, and clickstream analysis
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Eager to learn
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies, running usability studies, and performing data analysis
  • Familiarity with Usertesting.
    com, Optimal Workshop, and survey tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with Figma is also a plus

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with members of the research and design teams to improve the overall user experience
  • Plan and conduct user research studies, such as interviews, moderated and unmoderated usability sessions, surveys, card sorts, etc.
  • Assist ongoing research with note-taking and observation
  • Write testing scripts, track and manage data, synthesize and present findings
  • Help with recruiting and scheduling participants

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location.
In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus.
The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
