Water Treatment OperatorSeeking a dedicated Water Treatment Operator / O&M Technician I to support water treatment operations within an industrial facility. This role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining water treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental standards and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, and maintain water treatment, dewatering, processing, and disposal equipment.Perform routine inspections of pumps, valves, filters, tanks, and other treatment system components.Collect water samples and conduct laboratory and field testing to verify water quality and regulatory compliance.Adjust chemical feed rates, flow rates, and treatment processes based on system performance data.Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on treatment equipment.Troubleshoot operational issues and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.Record operating data, testing results, maintenance activities, and regulatory documentation accurately.Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and emergency response activities as needed.Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and environmental teams to support facility objectives.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Experience operating water or wastewater treatment equipment in an industrial or municipal environment preferred.Basic understanding of water treatment processes, chemical handling, and equipment operation.Ability to perform water quality testing and interpret results.Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.Ability to read gauges, meters, operating manuals, and process documentation.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and documentation skills.Preferred SkillsWater Treatment Operations & Water Quality TestingChemical Processing & Dewatering SystemsPreventative Maintenance & Equipment TroubleshootingEnvironmental Compliance & OSHA Safety StandardsRecordkeeping & Documentation
