Here’s how to make a strong Project Manager CV.
There are three basic types of CV layouts:
For Project Manager positions, the Chronological and Combination CVs are the best options. Use a Chronological CV if you have lots of relevant experience. If you have some experience and strong skills, use a Combination CV.
This section should include:
Add your LinkedIn profile instead of personal social media links to look more professional.
This is a quick paragraph describing your aims, experience, and abilities. Highlight your qualifications for the role. Show the way you could assist them in reaching their desires.
Example: "I hope to leverage my leadership and management abilities as a project manager with over 12 years of experience managing IT projects in e-commerce to help your business boost sales and customer happiness."
Show both hard and soft skills. Hard skills are specific to project management, like planning and budget management. Soft skills are personal traits like communication and leadership.
Key Project Management Skills:
Only list skills you truly have. Don’t lie, as it can lead to problems even if you get the job.
This section displays the duties and roles you held in previous jobs. You can mention your position at the company and how long you've worked there. Mention your primary aims and accomplishments.
Example: Project Manager at [AB] Company, Jan 2015 - Present
List your educational background. Include degrees, certifications, and relevant courses. Mention the institution, the degree, and the graduation year.
Show your significant accomplishments. Include awards, recognitions, and successful projects.
