KCNA Procurement Material Handling and Mobile Equipment Sr. Specialist

As the KCNA Procurement Material Handling and Mobile Equipment Sr Specialist you will have overall responsibility to develop and execute the Material Handling and Mobile Equipment category strategy in North America. The role serves as the strategic interface between our Distribution Operations teams, Inbound Material teams, 3PL partners and our material handling equipment providers. Kimberly-Clark takes a long term, strategic approach to Material Handling and Mobile Equipment strategies and develops long term partnerships with its suppliers. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively interface and influence a broad range of stakeholders both within Kimberly-Clark and our supplier and service provider network.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a change agent for the Procurement organization, with a strong ownership mentality and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Assess KCNA supplier landscape and market dynamics (e.g., emerging suppliers & innovation, supply / market trends, etc.)
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders on material handling and mobile equipment, as well as other equipment (e.g., racking and services, maintenance service contracts) needs and strategy (e.g., collect business requirements), with an ability to work effectively in a global matrix structure.
  • Develop KCNA Material Handling and Mobile Equipment multi-year category strategy.
  • Drive execution of sourcing events
  • Manage senior supplier relationships and resolve region-specific supplier continuity issues, etc.
  • Manage, track and report on equipment and service cost / sourcing initiatives & results.
  • Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to simplify / standardize ways of working.
  • Monitor supplier performance indicators and initiate supplier reviews as required or in accordance with agreed programs to drive improvement and reduce risk across the regional enterprise.
  • Negotiate and manage complex contracts that provide cost savings, assure supplier performance, and protect K-C for equipment and services for North American sites.
  • Ensure compliance with K-C Policies and internal controls.

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in business, supply chain or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, preferred experience in category management
  • Intellectually curious, strong analytical skills
  • Business acumen, excellent communication skills (both written and oral) able to communicate up and across the organization, cross functional collaboration & influencing, functional and technical awareness.
  • Strong project management, process improvement, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
