Full job description
Rapidly growing holistic and integrative veterinary practice seeks motivated, detail oriented, team player to join our special group. Our busy integrative practice provides integrative treatments such as acupuncture, herbal therapy, nutrition, intravenous therapies, and medical ozone as well as conventional care including blood work, cytology, and laboratory diagnostics. Doctors will provide integrative treatments to dogs, cats, avian and exotic as well as companion mammals and reptiles. Employee would be expected to participate in multiple facets of the practice including exams and clinical history taking, client communication, medical record review, restraint for routine procedures such as phlebotomy, intravenous catheter placement, assistance during acupuncture sessions, formulation of herbal prescriptions, fluid administration and monitoring and administration of intravenous, subcutaneous or oral medications and treatments. Previous veterinary experience is preferred; however, highly skilled and competent fellow technicians are available to train entry level technicians or assistants. Previous experience with holistic or integrative treatments not required, however an open mind and desire to learn is an absolute must. No emergency or holidays shifts required, including major federal holidays, as practice will be closed.
