Job Description: Appian Developer/Programmer Analyst
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking three (3) Appian Developer/Programmer Analysts to support its Innovation Development Team. The selected workers will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying Appian-based workforce application systems and ensuring their reliability and adherence to standards.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle, from design and testing to implementation and support.
- Develop new applications using the latest Appian technology.
- Design user interfaces, process models, and data storage in the low-code Appian environment.
- Code development, create test specifications, perform testing, and assist in go-live activities.
- Analyze project requirements, considering current and future needs.
- Collaborate within the Agile framework, conduct impact analysis, and prepare technical user stories.
- Mentor junior Appian developers and establish best practices.
- Ensure compliance with program documentation and standards.
- Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements:
- 8 years of developer/programmer experience or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- 8 years of experience in a low-code platform, including Appian Senior Developer Certification.
- 5 years of experience with Appian components, REST Web API development, and Cloud-based technologies.
- 5 years of knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
- 5 years of experience in building Appian CDTs and application integration with databases.
- 5 years of problem-solving skills and experience with various software systems.
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, PowerPoint, or Photoshop.
- 3 years of experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Octane or earlier version.
- 8 years of experience in a low-code platform, including Appian Senior Developer Certification.
- 5 years of experience with Appian components, REST Web API development, and Cloud-based technologies.

- Familiarity with a Hybrid software development methodology (Waterfall and Agile).

Term of Service:
Services expected to start as soon as possible, with completion by August 31, 2024, or when the estimated hours are exhausted. The service may be extended by mutual agreement. Hours can roll over from one fiscal year to the next if necessary, but the service is subject to cancellation without penalty if funds are not appropriated.
Work Hours and Location:
Services during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through TWC.
Telecommuting options for candidates within or willing to relocate to Texas.
Availability for meetings and group collaboration during regular business hours.
Occasional off-hour work may be required.
