Job Title: Network Engineer (Switching, Routing)

Duration: 12+months
Job Description:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience with minimum of 7+ years of IT experience.
You will be working with network fundamentals (ie, LAN/WAN) within a collaborative team. This is an invironment that requires multi/tasking and sense of urgency whilst being detailed oriented. We are looking for someone with excellent organization skills as well as great written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build the network infrastructure projects and technology initiatives based on the customer or business requirements
- Perform all phases of network engineering including requirements analysis, network design, and implementation
- Lead network migrations, remediations, and integrations
- Participate in reviewing and approval of proposed network design and changes and ensuring they are aligned to network standards
- Work with Project Management/Design Teams to translate initial scope into actionable items
- Review designs and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
- Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and produce solutions as required
- Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and participate in the decision making for the acquisition of current/new technologies for the customer network environment
- Develop reusable designs and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity
- Explore emerging technologies
Mandatory Skills Description:
- Switching, Routing, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP stack, Python, MPLS on Cisco, Arista, and Aruba technologies
- Network Engineer (Switching, Routing, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP stack, Python, MPLS on Cisco, Arista, and Aruba technologies), VPN
- CCNA or higher certification
- Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches
- Experience in Arista switch management
- Experience in Palo Alto firewalls
- Documentation skills and use of programs such as Visio
- Skilled in a scripting language such as Python
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
